We're pleased to offer the following services at Grand Animal Hospital:
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We are open for scheduled appointments from:
- Monday to Friday: 9am - 10am and 3pm to 6 pm
- Saturday: 9am - 12pm
We also offer "drop off" appointments in the mornings if our schedule permits, and/or your pet's need is urgent.
Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. It is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency, and to prepare the team for your arrival.
Surgeries
We perform routine spay and neuter surgeries on a daily basis. We also offer specialized surgeries such as lumpectomies, laceration repair, ear hematoma repair, foreign body retreival, eye entropion, and cherry eye surgery.
Vaccinations
Our clinic offers your pets the safest and highest standard vaccinations. Dr. Scoggin stays current on vaccine research, and only carries vaccines that are considered low-risk. Most of our vaccines are given on a 3-year basis.
Dental Prophy
Dr Scoggin and her technicians are highly skilled at routine dental cleanings, as well as minor or major tooth extractions. Please note that in order to perform a complete dental cleaning, your animal must be anesthetized for this procedure. We do not recommend "at home" dental scaling offered by groomers, as this can damage your pet's tooth enamel and cause future problems.
Emergency & Urgent Care
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. It is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency, and to prepare the team for your arrival.
